Dalsan Farms Company was established in Burao in 2018 with the vision of meeting consumer demand for the quality produce and dairy products in Togdheer region in Somaliland. The farm is comprised of 100 hectares of land, 4 water ponds with a catchment volume of ~ 14,000 barrels, two rooms for the farm staff retrofitted with a solar panels for lighting, and two trucks.

The farm has 640 fruit plants that grow lemons, orangse, mangos, guava, and papaya. They have cash crops such as onions, chilis, and peppers and sell fresh milk to the growing Burao city population for daily use both mornings and evenings.

Dalsan Farms  hired a  local university horticulturist when starting the farm to help them select a variety of plants to grow and build in-house experience for basic farming techniques.
