Badhan Electricity Company (BEC) is the leading supplier of electricity and is currently the sole provider of electricity for residential, commercial and social services sectors in the Badhan district, which has a population of over 200,000 with steady growth rate of over 8% annually.

BEC is registered by the Ministry of Commerce and Industries located in Puntland and is also a registered member of the Puntland Chamber of Commerce and Industries in order to shape the electrical services that are sustainable and affordable for the Somali people.
