Stanley Tsikirayi

Stanley Tsikirayi is a seasoned banking executive and governance expert with nearly five decades of leadership experience across Africa’s financial sector. He has held Chief Executive and Managing Director roles with several leading institutions, including Standard Chartered Bank in Tanzania, Sierra Leone, and The Gambia, as well as CEO of Opportunity Bank Tanzania. He also served as Regional Director for Africa at Opportunity International, overseeing growth and operations across multiple markets.

Since 2008, Stanley has advised commercial banks, microfinance institutions, development organizations, and NGOs throughout Africa on corporate governance, banking operations, risk management, financial inclusion, and organizational development. His work has focused on helping institutions strengthen governance, improve performance, and build long-term sustainability.

Stanley currently serves as Chairman of HOPE Congo and sits on the boards of SMEP Microfinance Bank in Kenya, Turame Community Finance in Burundi, and MicroHub Financial Services in Zimbabwe. His previous board experience includes Standard Chartered Bank Tanzania, Opportunity Bank Uganda, Opportunity Bank DRC, and URWEGO Finance Rwanda.
