I am Mohamed. At present, I am Shuraako’s office Mogadishu coordinator. I am a banker and a Finance Professional with 8 years of experience. I do have a massive knowledge in Finance and operations. for instance, Investment Management, socially responsible investments (SRIs), portfolio construction, portfolio optimization, collections, risk management, Compliance, anti-money laundering, counter financing terrorism and customer due diligence.
I attended University Technology Malaysia (UTM) and Global University of Islamic banking and Finance (INCEIF) at Malaysia, where I did my degree in Management of Technology (MOT) and masters of Islamic finance professionals (MIFP), respectively. Similarly, I am a chartered of Islamic finance professional (CIFP) graduate in Malaysia.
Prior to joining Shuraako, I worked with a bank called Dahabshil Bank International (DBI) for 8 years. I held different roles in the bank and managed different projects.
I was the manager of the Investment and recovery Department of the Bank for some time. Later, I have been nominated as the Director of the Compliance department in the bank. Likewise, I was managing operations department of the bank before joining to Shuraako.
I managed many projects in the bank, the first of which was to invest millions of dollars in Puntland markets in Somalia and to collect the financed money from clients.
My hobbies are reading, listening to Music, traveling my holidays to experience and see different cultures, and eat different foods.
