The Shuraako program is seeking to hire an area business development specialist located in Mogadishu, and responsible for the area in and around Mogadishu. The area business development specialist will be the professional point of contact for the Shuraako program in and around Mogadishu. He/she will conduct research and compile information on existing businesses in the region, as well as those businesses’ requirements for investment and technical assistance, and locate and map local businesses based on the Shuraako program criteria. Investor Engagement Manager
The Shuraako project is seeking to hire an Investor Engagement Manager. The primary objective for this position is to connect investments to promising businesses and business models which create jobs in Somalia. He/she will be responsible for meeting with, and pitching to, investors about investment opportunities in Somalia. He/she will be responsible for mapping and conducting research on relevant investors (including private individuals, high net worth individuals, venture capital, private equity, regional African investment funds), and working with them to place investments in Somalia. Shuraako Program Intern: Business/Investment
The Business/Investment Intern for the Shuraako program will primarily work on gathering data and information on the investment climate in Somalia and Somaliland. This includes (but is not limited to) compiling financial and operational information on businesses operating in Somalia; researching potential industries in Somalia; writing and uploading content on the Shuraako website related to business, investment, and any other developments related to Somalia. Shuraako Program Intern: Graphic Design
The Shuraako Graphic Design Intern will work closely with the Shuraako team, and OEF Communications Specialist to design and create layouts for the Shuraako program and website. The candidate will also assist the Web team in creating, editing, formatting, and uploading content to the Shuraako website. Full description.
